HER Voice Fund

Y+ are excited to be managing the HER Voice Fund! We are passionate about supporting the greater involvement and meaningful participation of adolescent girls and young women in driving and shaping the HIV response.

What is HER Voice?

The HER Voice Fund is a grant scheme funded by ViiV Healthcare and The Global Fund. It supports adolescent girls and young women in 13 priority countries to engage in the decisions affecting their lives. HER Voice grants will amplify the voices of young women within the Global Fund and other national processes for health.

The grants are aimed at youth networks and organisations, community groups and civil society organisations working with adolescent girls and young women to support their participation in advocacy and policy activities and events.

Why is it important to Y+?

The Global Network of Young People living with HIV (Y+) aims to strengthen the leadership of young people living with HIV from local to global level, empowering our peers to be meaningfully engaged in political and programmatic spaces that impact their lives. HER Voice is a fund that can support adolescent girls and young women and their organisations to participate, lead, speak, decide and inform so it speaks directly to our mission!

Access to funding is really hard for young leaders, especially when it comes to their engagement in complex national and international decision-making processes such as those of the Global Fund. HER Voice grants, alongside the capacity-building, mentorship, support and guidance Y+ can offer, will support young people in making the greatest impact in decision-making processes and spaces.
